WHERE ON EARTH WILL SATELLITE HIT?

Watch this video

A 2,000-pound European satellite is expected to re-enter Earth's atmosphere within hours, its controllers announced Sunday as the craft circled gradually downward.

The Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation Explorer -- a European Space Agency satellite known shorthand as GOCE -- had fallen to an altitude of about 122 kilometers (75 miles) by Sunday night, the ESA reported. It's now expected to plunge into the atmosphere and break up sometime before 8 p.m. ET, the ESA said.
"The most probable re-entry area lies on a descending orbit pass that mainly runs across the Pacific and the Indian Ocean," the agency reported. Controllers have all but ruled out any chance that the spacecraft would come down over Europe, it said.
GOCE's orbit can be tracked via an ESA website.

The 5-meter (16-foot) satellite was launched in 2009 to map variations in the Earth's gravity in 3-D, provide ocean circulation patterns and make other measurements. Powered by solar panels and not-your-average lithium-ion battery, it lasted more than three times its expected lifespan before running out of juice on October 21.

In March 2011, the ESA added another role -- as the "first seismometer in orbit" -- when GOCE detected sound waves from the massive earthquake that struck Japan.

GOD TOOK ABACHA, ABIOLA AWAY TO SAVE NIGERIA----- GOWON

A former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd) in this interview with SUCCESS NWOGU says if those that took over from his government had continued with his programme, Nigeria would have been more developed than China, among other issues
Is national conference/dialogue desirable now?

Yes! What is wrong with Nigerians trying to talk about the nation? But I hope it is not being engineered by those who have a set of ideas, who will be doing all the talking and trying to dictate the tempo of the conference? If the national conference or dialogue is done for the good of the country, everyone goes in there to say, ‘yes it is our country and we want our country to be greater and more successful than it is at the moment.’ If there is total love and commitment to the country, let us try to talk and bring in things we think should be able to help the country to be even better than what it is now and the sort of way we hope it will be in the future. If that is the approach, God will bless. To the young generation, who are calling for that, I will say they are the ones to do the building.

It is advisable that the outcome of the national dialogue be subjected to a referendum or that it should be submitted to the National Assembly for ratification as President Goodluck Jonathan has said.

Some people are calling for the disintegration of Nigeria, how would you react to this, given the fact that you fought actively for the unity of the country?

That is their view. Democracy says people should have their views. Let them have their views and I respect their views. But it may appear that they are misguided. Of course, the disintegration or break-up of Nigeria is not the wish and desire of the majority of Nigerians. Most Nigerians love this country and would want the country to remain united. A lot of things and sacrifices have been made to keep Nigeria united. The civil war was fought to keep Nigerians as one. God has made this country a very beautiful one and has graciously blessed us with incredible and tremendous potentials , both human and material resources. We would be better off as a united, indivisible and happy country than breaking up the country. There is no need for that.

Whatever genuine misgivings or agitations of some people can be addressed peacefully, equitably and justly, there is no need for the country to disintegrate. We should remain one indivisible great country and contribute our own quota to nation-building and make Nigeria realise her lofty dreams and aspirations of greatness and happiness for the residents.
I was reading an article by a columnist in one of the daily national newspapers. The columnist said he was against ‘this morbid desire of the unity of the country.’ So I responded, ‘what a morbid idea from a morbid fellow to say he does not like Nigeria. He is probably one of those who wanted to break away but those who love Nigeria as Nigerians made sure that it did not happen. And he is now hoping that he can now get it through such writing.’ It is unfortunate. However, that is his point of view and he probably has reasons. He may be one of those, who want either a state of his own or a country of his own and not Nigeria.

Probably he does not like Nigeria because he has not got what he wants out of Nigeria but if he is able to get what he wants in Nigeria, he would not call for its disintegration.

Just like I believe that if Ojukwu had the opportunity of being the Head of State instead of me, I can assure you that he would have done everything humanly possible to ensure that Nigeria does not break up so that he could control and enjoy from the great endowment that God has given to Nigeria, both human and natural resources, which if we are able to harness, as we tried to do during the programme of my administration with reference to the National Development Plan (1975-1980), Nigeria will be a great nation and the residents well taken care of.

Does it mean that if the National Development Plan of your administration had been successfully and completely executed, there would have been tremendous development and transformation of the country?

If that programme was successfully carried through, it would have made a total difference in Nigeria. All the problems of infrastructure that we are having today, is it power, petroleum, fuel, road, and economic development; all these were planned and provided for, for we had a plan which I had already told my Minister for Economic Development at the time: ‘Now that we have completed our third National Development Plan and put on ground how to execute them to the letter, I want you to start thinking and planning for the next development plan.’ I wanted him to ensure that the new national plan should be 100 per cent greater that the very big plan that we were launching. It was accepted world over as one of the most ambitious developmental projections or plan. If it had been carried through, it would have been a different story for Nigeria.

Yes, Malaysia, Indonesia, India are advancing now, probably it is only China that has achieved the sort of growth that Nigeria was being expected to have at that time, the growth of between 12 and 15 per cent for the foreseeable future in 1975. The Asian Tigers only achieved between eight and 10 per cent in 1975.

You mean if that plan had been carried out, we would have been greater than the Asian Tigers?
That was what it meant. But unfortunately, there was a coup d’état; a change of guard. There was a coup and unfortunately the government that took over from me did not carry through the plan, which if they were able to carry through, they would have been inaugurating one project after the other; employment would not have been any problem for Nigeria. But they abandoned the whole thing and were only adopting one programme here and there, which really did not help Nigeria to grow the way it would have grown.

We wanted the economy to grow in a correct fashion and I can assure that our plan really was aimed at doing that. And all the problems we had would not have been if they had executed our plan. If they had said, ‘He had done a huge and successful programme, let us show him that we have greater idea and sense than he had’ and probably, they would have done something bigger than what we planned. But remember I had already said we would start another plan which I wanted to be 100 per cent bigger. The only thing is, ‘would we have been able to have a 100 per cent’ but whatever it is, reality of the time would have made us to get it to a level that was acceptable and practicable and achievable at that time.

What was it that you couldn’t fix as the Head of State that you are striving to fix through your programme, Nigeria Prays?
Nigeria Prays came about in the mid-1990s during the time that Nigeria was having very bad media reports worldwide. The 419 syndrome; you had the CBS 60 minutes programmes that said that Nigerians were corrupt and criminals, and that Nigerians were financial crooks. Nigeria had it bad politically. Of course, that was the period of National Democratic Coalition versus Abacha. There was the problem of security at that time. So it was during that time I got an invitation to attend the American prayer breakfast.

During the visit, we met a lot of Nigerians, who were also invited; Nigerians who were in America and were invited to the prayer breakfast. They were delighted seeing us and, of course, they asked questions about the Nigeria they heard about from the foreign press, terrible things that they had heard about Nigeria, giving the impression that Nigeria might not even survive the weekend.

So it made some of us to ask the question: What are these Nigerians talking about? Has something happened in Nigeria within 72 hours that we left Nigeria? The story of Nigeria was as bad as that, it made Nigerians in the United States feel so bad and worried about their country but we gave them the assurance that the nation was intact and that there was no threat to it.
They asked the question: ‘what can we do to help?’ We discussed the idea of Nigeria Prays; that if we can get Nigerians to pray and to pray fervently, God may hear our prayers as he promised to hear the prayers of his people when he told King Solomon in 2nd Chronicle 7:14; that ‘if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land.’

So if you pray fervently, God may hear your prayers, heal you and heal your land. That was the decision that we took. It was a decision taken by all of us who discussed that issue in the United States and they later-on made me to be the chairman of the Nigeria Prays. Although, it is called my vision, I will say it is Nigerian vision. If Nigerians cooperate at anytime, you can be assured that they can achieve the greatness that they want or desire.

How can Nigerians tackle the challenges before the nation?

If we can get Nigerians to pray, and as we pray act correctly, we will get the intervention we need from God.

When I came back to Nigeria and got people to talk about the Nigeria Prays project, it was accepted that it would be good and we started it on October 1 after telling the Head of State (General Sani Abacha) that we were going to have this movement and he endorsed it and blessed and even challenged us to also get the Muslims to join in the prayer.

We agreed then that if we could not have joint prayers like we do in the military, Muslims and Christians should decide to do it the best way that; the Muslims praying on Fridays during Jumat prayer and then Christians praying during any day of the week. Now it seems that we have adopted Sunday as our day of prayer. But the Muslims will tell you, especially the Emirs will tell you, that it is not only on Fridays that they pray for Nigeria, they say they pray five days, seven days a week, so many weeks in the month and so many months in the year.

The Christians have the injunction to pray without ceasing. So, it seems that the two religions are really up and about to pray.

Certainly, ours is a very religious country but for the aberration of the Boko Haram sect members, which is claiming to be Muslims but certainly they are not the sort of Muslims that we know. This is a new group that is even against formal education, which is certainly very sad. This is because with education, you are able to broaden your mind and understand and be able to achieve understanding of one another and resolving your problem not through religious sentiments but through rational discourse with your colleagues.

What are the challenges you faced in your effort to address Nigeria’s problems? The Nigeria Prays started in earnest and we were able to go round the whole states of the federation up to the time there was a change in government when Abacha died and Abdulsalami took over and then started his own transition. Abacha had had a transition that was to make him the President and he had the support of all the political parties at the time but the good Lord intervened for the sake of Nigeria.

We prayed to God for Nigeria, for its peace, unity, stability and well-being and not for our own personal selfish way but we prayed to Him to give us a solution that He thinks is in the best interest of Nigeria.
Does it mean you believe that Abacha’s death was God’s solution to the problem Nigeria had then?
I can assure you that we never prayed for the death of the Head of State. In fact, we prayed for God to grant him wisdom to do the right thing for the country. What he told me was that prayer was good and that he endorsed it and gave us support for it. Then I knew that he could listen to words of advice that one could give him on any issue. But what the good Lord did was that, at that time, one of the serious political problems we had was Abacha/Abiola, the June 12 crisis. What happened then was that the good Lord took Abacha and paved the way for a return to civil rule and that was to give opportunity for the release of Abiola. Then Abiola, who was also at the other end of the crisis also passed on and therefore left the path free for a reasonable, genuine restoration and return to a civil rule.

That was achieved through some of the prayers that we did but we did not ask the good Lord for anyone’s demise. Ours is to pray for our leaders so that they can do the right thing for the country. Many other things that happened; the admonition and appeal to the people, were able to change the path of uncertainty to some positive end. You can see that when you look at the various issues, this is what we have been able to achieve. Our prayer and effort are aimed at getting all Nigerians to continue to love their country, to continue to love one another, to continue to help one another irrespective of your tribe, religion, faith or belief. The Christian community listens and tries to practise the admonition that we give them, contributing therefore to the peace and unity of the country. At the rally we had, we did fervent prayers. Do you think that with that sort of prayer and the way people believe in their country and love their country and want it to stay united and peaceful, do you think anything can happen in 2015?
Do you have regrets fighting for the unity of Nigeria?

I can assure you that fighting for Nigeria is stilll what I am doing now through the church, fighting for the progress and unity of Nigeria. I was doing it as a general, then a general politician but now I am doing it in the church.
How can Nigerians bring out the best from their leaders?
Of course, you pray for the leaders. I was talking to you about Abacha earlier on. I said for all our leaders, you pray to God to grant them the wisdom, the courage and in fact the spirit to do the right thing for the country and for the people; not to think of themselves but the genuine well-being of the country, listening to any good advice and also making sure that God will give you the sort of wisdom that Solomon asked God for and God granted him to be able to rule his people correctly.

I BEAT TAIWO AWONIYI TO DISCOURAGE HIM FROM FOOTBALL------DAD

Mr Solomon Awoniyi, father of Golden Eaglets’ striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, said he used to beat his son to discourage him from playing football.
Awoniyi on Sunday at his Gbagba residence, Ilorin, said that he never knew Taiwo would play football to global level.
He said the football career of his son started during his elementary school days, noting that he (Taiwo) would always disappear from the house to play football and the whole family would be looking for him.

Awoniyi praised the efforts of Taiwo’s coach, Rasaq Olojo, whom he said discovered and nurtured him.He said the striker was part of the team that participated in a Coca Cola competition in Ibadan, which later earned him a trip to London in 2010, where former Nigerian football stars Nduka Ugbade and Seyi Olofinjana, spotted him.He disclosed that Taiwo Awoniyi was voted the most valuable player and came home with the award from London in 2010.Awoniyi, a retired Police Officer, said he was happy to watch his son represent Nigeria in a world tournament.(NAN).

I'VE PUT MYSELF IN FRONT OF A MIRROR, OFF MY CLOTHES........ LADY GAGA

Gaga

PARIS (AFP) – Multi-platinum selling diva Lady Gaga is fighting to keep her ‘Queen of Pop’ crown with a hotly-anticipated third album, but early reception in the US and Britain has been lukewarm.“Artpop” signals a return to the limelight for Stefani Germanotta — known as Lady Gaga on stage and in video — after she was forced to tone down her usually ubiquitous media presence to undergo hip surgery.“For ArtPop, in a symbolic way, I’ve put myself in front of a mirror, I’ve taken off my clothes, then the makeup, then the wigs, I’ve dressed myself with a black jumpsuit and I’ve told myself: ‘Now, you have to prove you can be brilliant without all that’”, Lady Gaga told the magazine Grazia.

Even before its official release next week, “Artpop” has been making the headlines. The 27-year-old New Yorker, who established her reputation on chart-topping songs and surrounded herself with a constant media buzz, streamed the new album this week after it was leaked. The artist also hinted at an out-of-this-world publicity splash for the album’s official launch — a concert in space.

The US Weekly magazine reported that Lady Gaga plans to undergo a month of special vocal training to perform in early 2015 aboard the Virgin Galactic, the passenger spaceplane being launched by British billionaire Richard Branson to popularise space tourism. While the third album suggest Lady Gaga’s increasing artistic ambitions, critics in Britain and the US are not so convinced.“The intention of the album was to put art culture into pop music, a reverse of Warhol. Instead of putting pop onto the canvas, we wanted to put the art onto the soup can,” Lady Gaga said in an interview in Britain’s Daily Mail.Lady Gaga has collaborated with a number of world famous contemporary artists, including Jeff Koons for the album’s artwork, showing her as a post-modern Botticellian Venus. But on a first hearing “Artpop” returns to familiar themes — desire, sex, drugs, identity, celebrity, fashion, creativity — and sounds more like Lady Gaga’s previous albums “The Fame” and “Born this way” than it does a totally new musical experiment.

“There’s certainly some decent pop on Lady Gaga’s new album — but the ‘art’ part is rather harder to discern”, said the British newspaper The Guardian. The verdict was echoed across the Atlantic.“Lady Gaga’s latest extravagant exploration of her own fame, fabulousness and fearlessness is undeniably relentless, but that doesn’t mean it’s consistently entertaining,” said USA Today.“Musically, it’s as big and bold, unpredictable and diverse as Gaga herself with enough hooks and ABBA-esque choruses to keep any pop fan smiling through Christmas and beyond,” said the online Huffington Post.“If Gaga wants to be taken seriously as an ‘artist’ (like all the arty farty posturing and avant garde styling would suggest) then she really needs to spend more than five minutes jotting down the first rhyming couplets that spring to her mind."

NIGERIA OVERTAKES SOUTH AFRICA AS AFRICAN'S LARGEST ECONOMY

Wow! I was excited when I saw this. In the words of Professor Leonce Ndikumana, an Associate Professor in University of Massachusetts, we have this:
"There are two things that we need to single out. One is that even as of today, Nigeria is the second-largest economy on the continent, with about $262 billion in 2012, compared to $384 billion GDP for South Africa."

"The second one is that Nigeria had been growing quite fast. In 2011, they grew by 7.4 percent, which that went down a little bit to 26.6 percent in 2012. At the same time, South Africa's been growing a little bit slower, in the range of 2 to 3 percent, which is consistent with a more mature economy. So that by itself would mean that over time Nigeria is going to get closer and closer to South Africa. Even if you look at the last 12 years, in 2012 the economy of South Africa was about three times larger than the economy of Nigeria. Now it's about 1.5 percent. Now you bring in another factor, which is the rebasing of the national data in Nigeria, which is something that other countries are going to also have to undertake because their national accounts based on outdated--have outdated bases, in the sense that some sectors which were not there when they were doing the calculations now are more predominant in production of goods and services.

One of the biggest new innovation is the telecom sector, which is becoming a bigger and bigger part of the service sector. So this requires countries to go back in their statistics and redo the weighting of each economic sector. And this, for many countries, is going to result in a larger major amount of national output, which is GDP. Ghana has already done it, and Nigeria is on track of releasing their new statistics. And this will result in a larger GDP for Nigeria. And, again, as you said, it may be the case that they may be either closer, even take over South Africa, assuming that South Africa doesn't do the rebasing [incompr.]DESVARIEUX: And I can imagine what's propelling this rapid growth is that three-letter word, oil, since Nigeria has a lot of it. What do you make of that?NDIKUMANA: Yes. As you indicated, the rapid growth in Nigeria over the past years is driven mainly by the oil sector.

To give you an example, of the six point--while the country as a whole grew by 6.6 percent in 2012, the oil sector actually grew faster, by 8 percent, which means that some of the sectors were shrinking. And this poses--is a source of concern because oil, the oil sector, as we know, is a very capital-intensive sector, which means that it doesn't create lots of jobs.At the same time, since we're talking about South Africa and Nigeria, they share two important problems. One is unemployment, and the second is [incompr.] to global markets, shocks in global markets. Unemployment has been high in South Africa. It's known. And they have very good statistics. It's about 25 percent. In fact, Nigerian unemployment over the past two years has been increasing from 21 percent to 24 percent. So even as the economy's growing in Nigeria, unemployment is actually growing at the same time, which is the result of the fact that growth is taking place in sectors that are not creating employment. So this is a major, major problem for Nigeria.

At the same time, the sectors which are the life--which provide the life for the majority of the population, especially agriculture, is not growing as fast, because there has not been sufficient investment in technology so that productivity in agriculture, the mainstay of the livelihood of the population, is actually seeing a decline in productivity. And that is true for Nigeria as well for many other countries.

So the challenge for Nigeria is how to harness these oil resources so that the growth in revenue that's coming from oil can actually trigger expansion in other sectors outside of the oil sector."

SIX STEPS TO STAY FIT AND HEALTHY IN MIDDLE AGE

By Annapurna Sharma

Expert Author Annapurna Sharma

Are you entering middle age? The article below suggests 6 steps to lead a healthy life as you enter your forties.

Middle age or middle adulthood is usually considered to be a phase characterized by stability of life. After the incessant struggles and upheavals, trials and tribulations of the previous phases of life (adolescence and young adulthood), one settles down with a certainty and wisdom. Adults at this stage form a support system for the younger generation. Status symbols or glam factors hardly matter. But their body systems do matter as the body takes a 'U' turn -

• The body no longer adjusts to binging. Huge calories are not easily digested.
• Caffeinated and alcoholic drinks do not act as boosters anymore.
• Staying awake for most part of the night to meet official deadlines make you sick and listless.
• Pains and aches become a constant pattern of life.
• Unable to catch the train or bus in the last minute.
• Onset of life style diseases.

True enough the body starts revolting against you. You can no longer do what you want but instead listen to your inner-self. Fretting or complaining doesn't offer solutions; make your health your friend. Priorities at this stage change from being a social animal to a self-centric animal. That doesn't mean that all activities are given up. An adult just needs to be more cautious and health-conscious. These 6 steps can make adulthood a zest-filled age.

Step #1

Are you watching what you eat?
• Make healthy food choices as the digestive capacity takes a dip.
• Junk food, spicy and high fat food need to be avoided or reduced considerably.
• A judicious inclusion of fresh seasonal fruits and veggies improves essential nutrients and fiber in the diet.
• Substitute white, refined cereal grains with brown multigrains.
• Steamed vegetables are better options than fried ones.
• Follow a low salt and low sugar diet.
• Healthy snacks like high fiber biscuits or protein rich snacks are ideal replacements of fast foods or foods containing saturated and trans-fats.
• Eat unsalted fresh or raw nuts.
• Readymade, canned or processed foods contain high quantity of fat, sodium or sugar. Home cooked food is the best.

Step #2

Are you sufficiently hydrated?
• Water is ubiquitous. Drink 8 - 10 glasses of water a day as it helps detoxify the system.
• Make soups and fruit juices a part of your daily diet.
• Intake of coffee and tea must be minimized or avoided completely.
• If possible stay away from alcoholic beverages or colas.
• Buttermilk and tender coconut water are the best drinks that are not only refreshing but also
nourishing.

Step #3

Are suffering from sleeplessness?
• Identify the reasons of sleeplessness and rectify immediately before it becomes a chronic disorder.
• Eat a light dinner at least two hours before bedtime.
• Quality sleep is essential for better efficiency and performance.
• The number of hours of sleep varies from 6 to 8 hours which is again based on individual body composition or requirements.
• Foods containing substantial amounts of spice, sugar or fat and caffeinated or alcoholic beverages spike the metabolism and activate the brain, thereby hindering sleep.
• Indulge in activities like reading a book or listening to music before bedtime as they are quite relaxing.
• The best home remedy is warm milk with a teaspoon of honey as milk acts like a sedative.

Step #4

Are you following a routine schedule?
• Prepare a suitable food-sleep-work schedule.
• Strictly follow it as these patterns are interconnected and disruption in one activity affects the others automatically.
• Make the necessary amendments to the patterns depending upon the need and stick to it.

Step #5

How often are you exercising?
• At this stage 30 to 40 minutes of exercise, at least 5 times a week is a prerequisite.
• Walking or any moderate physical activity strengthens the body as well as wards of illnesses.
• A 10-minute session of pranayama (breathing exercises) or meditation de-stresses the system.
• Regular yoga asanas activate both the body and mind.

Step #6

When is your next medical check-up?
• Adulthood brings with it marked changes in the body - digestive, cardiac, hormonal, muscular or neurological, which are responsible for the onset of lifestyle diseases.
• Get an annual medical check-up done to rule-out or reduce the impact of such disorders.
• Early diagnosis and treatment of degenerative diseases is better than suffering at a later stage.

Always remember that successful coping with bodily changes in adulthood paves way for a better adjustment in old age.

BUILDING A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP

By Christopher Lanne

The moment we are conceived we have needs. The moment we are conceived we begin to develop strategies to get our needs met or cope with not having our needs met. The moment we are conceived our stories begin-the story of our life, the stories we tell ourselves, the stories we are told. I'm not writing this article and you're not reading this article because all of our needs are met in a healthy way, using healthy strategies and our stories are all loving, compassionate, empathetic and beautiful. I'm writing this and you're reading this because there is a fundamental disconnect between who we are and who we think we are or told we are.

If I tell you we are all beautiful, we are all equal, we are all loved and we are all loving, you will probably agree or at least mostly agree. However, do we feel it, do we embrace it, do we live it? This is perhaps our greatest challenge-to see the true nature of who we are and truly embrace it. It is possible. It is within our reach. It is the truest reality.

Yet, millions of people tell themselves stories every day, throughout the day that they are not worthy or they are not good enough, or they are not loveable and much more. Why is this? It is this way because the moment we are conceived we begin to feel and/or hear about our value, our worth, our importance. As we grow, we begin to believe stories about ourselves... stories that hurt, stories that feel good, stories that do not meet our fundamental needs and stories that do meet our fundamental needs.

If you are born into a family that showers you with unconditional love both verbally and with physical contact then your needs for love, acceptance, and closeness are going to be met. You will probably develop healthy strategies for meeting these needs like simply showing love to those around you in the same manner they modeled for you. This is an example of a healthy strategy.
If you are born into a family that withholds love then you may develop unhealthy strategies for getting your need for love met or for coping with not having your need for love met, such as doing what your parents want you to do in order to feel their love or attention or drinking to ease the pain of not having your need met. In cases like these, attention is often what is sought because it can feel like an expression of love. For example, she must love me if she gives me attention when I act a certain way. Yet, these unhealthy strategies are built upon an illusion. The illusion being that your behavior affects how the other person feels. These types of strategies can easily turn into life-long patterns of behavior with many different relationships but the lack of completely fulfilling the need for love remains elusive and out of reach and they can lead to wounds and pain. Imagine a young child never experiencing his or her need for love, acceptance, value except when he or she is sexually molested by the parent. It's a harsh reality. It doesn't have to be

This same child may grow into an adult or teenager who uses sex to have his or her needs met for feeling loved. This same child may grow into an adult or teenager telling herself or himself a story that she or he is only worthy when having sex with someone. Yet the pain and wound of a lifetime of conditional love will take its toll and create many more strategies and stories around needs not being met.

The first step to leaving unhealthy strategies and stories is to acknowledge them and accept them without judgment or admonishment or blame. They simply are and they wouldn't be if you lived a different reality. Think of it like this, if you do judge yourself or admonish yourself or blame others or yourself does it change what is? What is the natural consequence of judging or admonishing yourself? What is the natural consequence of blaming yourself or others? What is the natural consequence of simply accepting things as they are without judgment, admonishment and blaming?
The second step is to allow yourself to feel the pain and feelings surrounding the thoughts that drive the strategies and stories and let them go (I often suggest clients imagine them sent to and burning up in the Sun); i.e. I am only worthy when I have sex with them or they only believe I am worthy if I have sex with them. This step is difficult because it involves feeling the pain associated with the story and strategy and unconscious triggers. The bad news is that at first it is or can be extremely difficult depending upon your life story. The good news is it gets easier each time you do it.

The third step is to consciously choose a new thought such as I am worthy and loveable whether I have sex or not. My worth and lovability isn't dependent upon someone else or their desires. Each time you replace an unhealthy thought or story with a healthy one you are reprogramming your unconscious triggered reaction with a conscious response. After an indeterminate amount of times, your unconscious triggered reaction will mirror your conscious response.
This process requires being conscious of our triggers. This process is a tool we should keep with us for our entire lives as there is no lack of pain in our world-to pretend there isn't pain is to invite the pain to live within us and fester.
Remember that the stories and strategies are as different as each person. For example, a child with the same circumstances may use completely different strategies and tell themselves completely different stories such as I am not worthy because my parent has sex with me. As adults, they may withdraw and protect their feelings of not feeling loved by not putting themselves out there. They may abstain from having sex altogether and when they do have it they may experience pain and discomfort and guilt.

Life doesn't have to be filled with unhealthy strategies and stories and unhealthy unconscious triggered reactions. There is another way. Ask yourself: do I want to live a life where I feel positive and where I feel loved, worthy, validated, like I belong, like I'm part of something? No one can do it for you... you have to take the first step.

DIVINE HEALING: A POWER FROM GOD

With many healed as the power flowed from my hands the experience of feeling this wonderful gift is beyond this world. That's why so many are skeptical about it and it is not something the average person seeks when ill or injured. The criteria to be helped in this way are a complete reaching out for truth and denial of the religions which oppose the Spirit. That means filling your heart with desire for the only God which is not represented in any worshipped form outside of that within.

It is surprising how many are aware of this today as the world comes ever closer to its catastrophic end. Overpopulation, loss of species, climate change and global warming are among the many issues responsible for this situation but top of the list is the will of God. Old Testament prophecies state that it is the plan of the Almighty to bring us into this condition.

That is part of the retribution for going after the false gods of the many persuasions that have people bowing and worshipping idols. Statues made of clay, wood or metal are nothing. They have no power and from them is spawned the wilful, criminal elements that allow some the right to use others for their benefit, even if it amounts to death. The demise of the planet is due to the attitude that many have for wealth at any cost.

That is what hides spiritual healing as money is a false god. It is man-made and the need to have it is ongoing and growing. This is part of the world of 666 and in Revelation 13:13-18 it states clearly that this man rules over the economy. His identity is Constantine, emperor of the Roman world. In 325 AD he established the Catholic Church and, according to that reference, he invented Jesus Christ as its Saviour.

These are the lies that stand between spiritual healing and the sick and injured. The reluctance to let go of them gives leaders, the media and the fundamentalists ammunition to rail against the spiritual links that many have within. It's only when faced with something incurable by medical means that one can turn to that inner power and seek healing with all their heart. That's when miracles happen and instantaneous healing may occur.

One must ignore the church, the mosque, the temple, the priest and any other force outside of that small voice that guides in order to gain it. That is the flaming sword preventing the majority from finding the power and it is the voice of the majority that silences it.
When nothing appears to be able to help rescue someone, such as the man on death row or the woman trapped for 3 weeks under a mud flow if one is connected the Spirit will work miracles. Understanding miracles and your spirituality is first and foremost a criteria to finding the truth about the real God.

HEY STUDENTS! YOU CAN GET ONLINE EDUCATION

Over the years technology has progressed into a force to be reckoned with; it seems you can learn just about anything online. Previously you could do basic things like shop or get directions, and now you can literally attend school online from the comfort of your living room. Education websites proliferate the Internet and appeal to all ages; anyone can take advantage of this new shift in technology. Evaluating the pros and cons of education websites will allow you to see which ones are the choices for you.

The obvious perks to education websites are flexibility and the multitude of choices at your fingertips. There are thousands of websites and programs to choose from, making it easy to find the perfect school that will fit your student's needs. The flexibility of education websites to supplement the traditional classroom or to replace it altogether offers families more educational options. High school students are opting for educational websites because they offer a more efficient use of time, personalized instruction, immediate feedback, and access to unlimited teaching aids.
Another key factor in choosing online schooling is the diversity of peers; depending on what online school families choose, students could be connecting with people from all over the world. Networking with people from a wide variety of cultural perspectives puts learning in a global perspective.

Individual pacing is another plus for many students who get to really dig deep into what interests them, bypass what they already know, and access teaching aids in real time on a grand scale. In many brick-and-mortar schools students are locked into the same pace as everyone else, making it more difficult to adequately diversify and personalize learning efficiently. Education websites allow students to take as many or as few classes at a time as they like and have a multitude of resources and teaching aids for them to utilize.
By attending online, students and families can actually save money. Brick-and-mortar schools generally have a bevvy of annual student fees, not to mention the costs of social and athletic activities and astronomical senior year costs. There is also significant savings in transportation for students who commute back and forth to school via Mom and Dad's cars, their own cars, or even public transportation.
Parents can access educational websites like Artifacts Teach and have instant access to thousands of objects online to engage students' curiosities, offer deep learning in core content areas, and develop valuable critical thinking skills. They have the power to enhance and expand student learning offering a bridge between prior knowledge and new information.
Educational websites are not all designed to replace school. In many cases, they can be used to deepen understanding of classroom material. They offer students expanded exploration in areas of interest. These websites provide places for prolonged engagement, which improves learning retention.
Teaching is my passion! I am a Colorado Social Studies Teacher who has also been training teachers across the state for the last 10 years. I believe in harnessing the power of artifacts in the classroom.
